Samsung is known to create a great brand name and then infuse it with newer and better cellphones that provide better features and services. It did it with the Corby and now is doing it with the Omnia. While the Corby was a brand name that was catering to the young adults and college going crowd, the Omnia was catering to the people who wanted a cell phone that sizzled of style and substance. Of course, the Omnia original had a lot to offer, and quickly gained a big fan following, which allowed Samsung to work out the Omnia HD. Here is some information about the Samsung Omnia HD.

All the Features:

Actually, there is no feature that the Samsung HD does not have. It boasts of a robust 8 MP camera, with all bells and whistles like geo tagging, face detection, image stabilizer, LED flash and even wide dynamic range. It also offers 8 to 16 GB storage, so you can easily store movies, audio, documents, whatever you want on your trusty Omnia HD. Since the phone is a higher end phone, it has everything like Wi Fi, Inbuilt GPS, etc. As the name suggests, Samsung has a pretty robust bouquet of features when it comes to High Density, with playback and recording in HD being just two of the many features that the Omnia HD offers.

Form Factor:

While the Omnia HD has the typical candy bar style look, it does add some snazzy to it with the plastic casing around the display. What keeps the phone apart from every other phone is the huge 3.7 Amoled screen that has widescreen capabilities. For those who are not yet comfortable with the touch screen, the Omnia has the three typical hardware buttons of 'Take Call', 'End Call' and 'Menu' at the lower end. At the top is the jack for the 3.5mm headphone, which is becoming almost the industry standard nowadays.

Battery Usage:

Mobile users all over the world have understood that the battery life of a cell phone is the most important and critical aspect in a cell phone today. Even if we have the best phone with all the possible features, it will turn into a damp squib if the batter life is not good enough. The Omnia HD has a battery life of around seventy hours with medium usage.

UI:

The term touchscreen has been used quite randomly in the mobile market since the past few years, therefore whenever it is used, one wonders whether the phone is actually touchscreen, or just some amateur trying to get into the touchscreen market or someone who knows what touchscreen actually is. The Samsung Omnia proves that it powered by the Symbian S60 fourth edition, which is skinned by the TouchWiz UI

All in all, the phone provides a very good user experience and is the value for money. It offers one of the best user experiences in the price range.
